Los Angeles Lakers delivered a statement victory over the Golden State Warriors with a 119-103 win, highlighted by a historic on-court moment between LeBron James and his son Bronny James, Sport360NG reports.

Bronny, 19, produced a memorable play after forcing a turnover and setting up his father for a fast-break dunk, marking the first recorded son-to-father assist in NBA history. The milestone adds to their growing legacy, following last month’s father-to-son assist against the Brooklyn Nets.

LeBron, 41, led the Lakers with a 26-point performance and contributed 11 assists, while Bronny added 10 points and three assists in an assured display. The result strengthens the Lakers’ position as they continue their push in the standings, while the Warriors remain in contention despite the setback.

Elsewhere, the New York Knicks secured a 112-106 victory over the Boston Celtics, with Josh Hart leading the scoring with 26 points in a key late-season clash between two top-ranked sides.

The Toronto Raptors also recorded a 128-114 win against the Miami Heat, while the Houston Rockets boosted their playoff hopes with a 113-102 triumph over the Philadelphia 76ers.

In other results, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Washington Wizards 119-108, and the Indiana Pacers eased past the Brooklyn Nets 123-94 in fixtures involving teams already out of postseason contention.

WNBA Set for Expansion to 18 Teams by 2030

The WNBA has confirmed a major expansion plan that will see the league grow to 18 teams by 2030.

New franchises in Cleveland, Detroit and Philadelphia have been approved, with Cleveland set to debut in 2028. Detroit and Philadelphia will follow in 2029 and 2030 respectively.

The league has experienced steady growth in recent years, with the Golden State Valkyries joining in 2025, while additional teams in Toronto and Portland are also scheduled to enter the competition.

The upcoming WNBA season is set to begin on 8 May, with the regular season running through to 24 September, as the league continues to build momentum both on and off the court.
