City Eye Rodrygo, Forest Near McAtee Deal, Chelsea in Nkunku Talks During Simons Discussions – Tuesday Gossip
Manchester City are weighing up a move for Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Rodrygo, with the 24-year-old valued at around £87m, Sport360NG reports.
Nottingham Forest are close to finalising an agreement for Manchester City’s English midfielder James McAtee, 22.
Chelsea and RB Leipzig have also spoken about France international Christopher Nkunku, 27, while negotiating over Dutch attacker Xavi Simons, 22.
Elsewhere, Monaco are showing interest in Newcastle’s veteran defender Kieran Trippier, 34, while West Ham are preparing a bid for Southampton’s Portuguese Under-21 midfielder Mateus Fernandes, 21, who carries a £30m price tag.
Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, 25, will only consider extending his stay or reintegrating into the side if Liverpool rule out a summer move for him directly.
In Italy, Inter Milan, Roma, Juventus and Napoli have joined AC Milan in monitoring Manchester United’s Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund, 22, with the Premier League side ready to consider offers in the £30m–£40m range.
Everton’s loan deal for Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish, 29, includes a £50m purchase option for next summer.
Chelsea have reportedly tabled a £43m bid for Liverpool’s France defender Ibrahima Konate, 26, while Brentford and Newcastle are in discussions to sign Stade Rennais striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, 23, with the Bees currently ahead in talks.
Newcastle are also targeting Leicester City’s Morocco playmaker Bilal El Khannouss, 21, though Leeds are also in the race. Everton have turned their attention to Leicester’s Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu, 21, after failing in several attempts to land Southampton’s England Under-21 winger Tyler Dibling, 19.
England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 28, has parted ways with his agent as he explores a move, with Manchester United, Newcastle and Leeds all holding talks.
In Germany, Wolfsburg are monitoring Sunderland’s Northern Ireland full-back Trai Hume, 23, while Chelsea are considering Bayer Leverkusen’s Ecuador defender Piero Hincapie, 23, following a serious knee injury to Levi Colwill, 22.
Finally, Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, 34, is keen to remain at the Etihad beyond the summer window despite interest from Galatasaray.
