Osimhen informs club his interest to Remain at Galatasaray Amid Napoli Talks

Victor Osimhen has reportedly expressed a strong desire to continue his career at Galatasaray, turning down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal in favour of staying in Turkey.

According to Corriere dello Sport via CalcioMercato, the Nigerian striker has made his intentions clear to the Istanbul-based club following the conclusion of his loan spell last season. Osimhen enjoyed a prolific campaign with the Turkish giants, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

Despite interest from top Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, no formal bids have materialised. Galatasaray, however, are pushing to retain the 26-year-old permanently.

While Napoli are open to letting Osimhen leave, the Serie A club remain firm on the €75 million release clause stipulated in his contract — a figure that must be met in full by any non-Italian side interested in signing him.

Reports in Italy suggest Galatasaray are prepared to meet Osimhen’s personal terms and have already tabled an offer close to €60 million. With sponsorship support from local Turkish companies potentially helping bridge the gap, a final agreement may soon be reached.

Negotiations are ongoing between Galatasaray and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, and sources close to the situation claim it’s now only a matter of time before the transfer is finalised — provided the release clause is activated.
