Super Falcons Star Asisat Oshoala Nears Saudi Switch to Al Hilal
Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala is on the verge of completing a move from Bay FC in the United States to Saudi Women’s League giants Al Hilal, Sport360NG reports.
Reports from The Athletic reveal that the Nigerian forward landed in Saudi Arabia on Monday to undergo medical tests, a key step before finalising the transfer, just 18 months after joining Bay FC.
Her absence from Bay FC’s 2-1 defeat to Angel City on Monday night further fuelled speculation about the switch. According to the report, both clubs had already settled on an undisclosed fee before the transfer window closed.
Oshoala, 30, joined the National Women’s Soccer League side from Barcelona in February 2024. She made 38 appearances and scored eight goals for Bay FC, although her game time has declined over recent months.
The former Rivers Angels forward boasts an illustrious career, having featured for clubs across Europe, Asia, and North America. She also played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s Super Falcons side that clinched a record 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations crown in Morocco last year.
