Wolves Sign Nigerian Striker Tolu Arokodare in £24m Deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers have strengthened their attack with the £24m capture of striker Tolu Arokodare from Belgian side Genk, Sport360NG reports.

The 24-year-old Nigerian forward, who stands at 6ft 6in, has agreed a four-year contract at Molineux. He joins a Wolves side still searching for their first points of the Premier League season after three straight defeats.

Arokodare arrives in England on the back of an impressive campaign in Belgium, where his 21 goals for Genk earned him the Golden Boot in the Pro League last term. He will add depth alongside Norway international Jorgen Strand Larsen, who recently attracted failed offers of £50m and £55m from Newcastle United.

Since signing for Genk in 2023, Arokodare has netted 41 times in 113 appearances. He previously had spells in Latvia with Valmiera, scoring 22 goals in 34 matches, and enjoyed loan stints at FC Köln in Germany and French club Amiens, where he hit 21 goals across two seasons.

On the international stage, he has four senior caps for Nigeria with one goal to his name. This season, he has already featured five times for Genk, scoring once before making the switch to the Premier League.
