Saka set to miss Liverpool trip as Odegaard battles injury concern
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is unlikely to feature in Sunday’s Premier League showdown with Liverpool and could also sit out England’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia after sustaining a hamstring injury, Sport360NG reports.
The 23-year-old was forced off during the Gunners’ 5-0 thrashing of Leeds United at the Emirates on Saturday, and initial medical checks indicate he may be sidelined for up to a month.

Adding to Mikel Arteta’s concerns, captain Martin Odegaard is facing a race to be fit for Anfield after hurting his shoulder in the same game. The Norwegian midfielder, who was withdrawn before half-time, left the stadium with his arm in a sling, though Arsenal remain hopeful the setback will not rule him out for an extended period.
The north London club are particularly relieved that Saka’s injury is not expected to be as severe as the hamstring problem that kept him out for three months last season.
Despite the double scare, Arteta has options in attack following the summer arrivals of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze, alongside existing talents Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, and teenage debutant Max Dowman.
