Fury-Joshua clash sells out Cardiff stadium tickets in just one hour
Tickets for the highly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have sold out within an hour, underlining the enormous interest surrounding one of British boxing’s biggest rivalries, Sport360NG reports.
Around 80,000 tickets for the all-British encounter at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium went on sale at 12:00 BST on Friday, with demand overwhelming the online booking system as more than 500,000 people reportedly joined the virtual queue within minutes.

The blockbuster contest, which will be streamed globally on Netflix, is scheduled to headline an event beginning on December 11, although the two former world champions are not expected to enter the ring until the early hours of December 12.
Ticket Prices Soar as Resale Market Emerges
The original ticket prices ranged from £88.50 to £13,128, including booking fees, reflecting the scale of the event and the demand to witness the long-awaited clash.
However, tickets began appearing on resale platforms shortly after the official sale opened. Some ringside VIP seats were advertised for as much as £73,645, while tickets for the upper tier were listed at approximately £425.

The extraordinary resale prices highlight the commercial appeal of a contest that has been discussed for years but only recently moved towards becoming a reality.
Fury and Joshua are both former two-time heavyweight world champions, with the pair expected to share a reported purse approaching $200m (£151m).
December Showdown to Begin in the Early Hours
The main event’s unusual timing is expected to see the fighters make their ringwalks at approximately 01:00 GMT on Saturday, December 12, following a short live music performance.
The stadium is scheduled to remain open until 03:30, allowing the event to accommodate its late-night timetable.
Cardiff’s Principality Stadium has been selected after other potential venues, including Wembley Stadium in London and Madison Square Garden in New York, emerged as leading candidates before various issues complicated their prospects.
The Welsh venue has previous experience hosting major boxing contests at unconventional hours. Joe Calzaghe’s victory over Mikkel Kessler in November 2007 began at around 01:00 GMT.
Similarly, Ricky Hatton’s famous win against Kostya Tszyu at Manchester’s MEN Arena in 2005 started at approximately 02:00 local time, enabling American broadcaster Showtime to show the fight during Saturday evening programming in the United States.
Promotional Dispute Nearly Derails Blockbuster Fight
Despite the excitement surrounding the contest, uncertainty lingered over its organisation just 11 days before the latest developments, with disagreements emerging over the promotional responsibilities of UFC chief Dana White.
Netflix had announced that White would work alongside Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring to promote the event. However, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, argued that contractual arrangements prevented White from taking on a promotional role for his fighter.
The disagreement raised questions about whether the highly anticipated encounter would proceed as planned.
Fury and Joshua eventually appeared together at a news conference on September 30, marking a significant step in the build-up to a contest widely regarded as one of the most eagerly awaited fights in British boxing history.
The event is being promoted through a collaboration involving Alalshikh’s The Ring and White, although the organisers have yet to announce the undercard bouts.
Former Champions Prepare for Long-Awaited Rivalry
Both fighters signed contracts for the bout earlier this year, but confirmation of the date and venue had remained outstanding before Cardiff was selected.
Joshua, 36, and Fury, 38, have spent years being linked with a potential meeting, with negotiations and promotional disagreements repeatedly delaying the prospect of the two British heavyweights sharing a ring.
With tickets now sold out and global streaming arrangements in place, attention will turn to the final preparations for a contest expected to attract significant worldwide interest.
The scale of the reported financial package, combined with the fierce rivalry between the two former champions, has added to expectations surrounding the December encounter.
