Fury returns once more as Makhmudov clash raises fresh questions
Tyson Fury is set to make yet another comeback when he steps into the ring against Arslanbek Makhmudov this Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sport360NG reports.
The 37-year-old former heavyweight champion had announced his retirement after suffering a second successive points defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024. However, given Fury’s well-documented pattern of stepping away from the sport only to return, few within boxing believed his exit would be permanent.
His latest return, though, has reignited debate over how much the self-styled “Gypsy King” still has to offer at the elite level of the heavyweight division.
Ahead of the bout, Sport360NG gathered insights from WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley, former two-weight world champion Natasha Jonas, boxing analyst Steve Bunce, and respected trainer Joe Gallagher to assess the key talking points surrounding Fury’s comeback.
One of the central questions remains the level of risk posed by his opponent, the hard-hitting Arslanbek Makhmudov.
