Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has expressed his full support for Nigeria’s Super Falcons as they continue their campaign at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
In a message shared on his official Facebook page, Obi commended the team for their impressive run in the tournament so far, describing them as a source of pride for both the nation and the African continent.
“You have carried the hopes, dreams, and pride of an entire nation with extraordinary courage and excellence throughout the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations,” he wrote.
The former Anambra State governor praised the Falcons not just for their skill on the field, but also for representing values such as resilience, unity, and national pride.
“As you step onto the pitch tonight in Morocco, know that you are not alone. You carry with you the dreams of millions, the strength of a people, and the indomitable Naija spirit,” he added.
