Morocco unveils plans to build four new stadiums in Nationwide infrastructure drive

Morocco has revealed plans to build four new modern stadiums in a further push to strengthen its sports infrastructure and support football development across the country, Sport360NG reports.

The proposed venues will be located in Casablanca, Nador, Khouribga and Dakhla, with each project designed to meet contemporary standards while widening access to high-quality sporting facilities beyond the traditional football hubs.

In Casablanca, the planned Tissema Stadium will have a seating capacity of 20,000 and will be fully covered. The project is expected to cost 68 billion centimes, making it the most expensive of the four developments.

A similar fully covered 20,000-seat stadium is planned for Nador, with construction costs estimated at 50 billion centimes. Khouribga is also set to receive a 20,000-capacity venue, with the project valued at 30 billion centimes.

The fourth stadium will be built in Dakhla and will accommodate 15,000 spectators. Unlike the other projects, it will be partially covered and is projected to cost 21 billion centimes.

The stadium programme highlights Morocco’s long-term strategy to enhance its sporting infrastructure, stimulate domestic football growth and reinforce its credentials as a host for major continental and international sporting events.
