Arteta dismisses Rosenior complaint, says Arsenal apologised over warm-up incident

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has downplayed claims of misconduct by his coaching staff following comments from Liam Rosenior, insisting the club has already apologised and describing the incident as a routine occurrence in football, Sport360NG reports.

Arteta was responding to Rosenior’s assertion that members of Arsenal’s backroom team encroached into his side’s warm-up area before the match, an action he labelled disrespectful and disruptive. The issue gained wider attention after Rosenior aired his concerns publicly in the aftermath of the game.

Speaking on Friday, Arteta confirmed the matter had been dealt with swiftly and without escalation.

“We apologised and that’s it,” he said. “It’s very common in football.”

The Arsenal boss sought to ease tensions, suggesting that minor disagreements and misunderstandings are not unusual in the build-up to competitive fixtures and should not be overblown.

Rosenior had earlier voiced his frustration, arguing that the behaviour went against accepted matchday etiquette, while stressing that his criticism was aimed solely at the staff involved and not the Arsenal players.

Although the episode has prompted discussion around professionalism and respect during pre-match preparations, Arteta indicated Arsenal are keen to draw a line under the issue and concentrate on their upcoming commitments.
