Everton step up pursuit of Southampton’s Tyler Dibling
Everton are edging closer to a £40m move for Southampton midfielder Tyler Dibling, Sport360NG reports.
The 19-year-old England Under-21 international has already been the subject of three rejected bids from the Toffees earlier this summer, but negotiations between the two clubs have now resumed, according to sources.
Dibling, who scored twice in 33 appearances last season, has drawn interest from several Premier League sides, though Everton are now pushing hardest to secure his signature.
Speaking on Friday, manager David Moyes admitted the club has faced challenges in the transfer market despite already investing £75m in six players and adding Manchester City winger Jack Grealish on loan.
“We have money to spend and we are trying to spend it,” Moyes said. “It is not that we don’t have the money, but we’re finding it very difficult to use it at the moment.”
Dibling made a brief appearance off the bench in Southampton’s 1-1 draw against Ipswich last weekend.
