Terence Crawford etched his name into boxing history with a stunning points victory over Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in Las Vegas, becoming the first male fighter in the modern era to unify titles in three separate weight divisions, Sport360NG reports.

Although the scorecards were closer than many anticipated, 116-112, 115-113, 115-113, the result underscored Crawford’s dominance and further cemented his reputation as the sport’s pound-for-pound leader.

“This isn’t by accident,” Crawford said afterward, draped in the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, and IBF super-middleweight belts.

The Omaha native, now 42-0 in his career, admitted he could consider walking away from the ring on such a high. “I don’t know yet. I’ll sit down with my team and figure out the next step,” he added.

For Alvarez, the fight carried immense weight, falling on Mexican Independence Day weekend. But the 35-year-old, now 65-3-2, could not overcome a generational talent, suffering the third defeat of his illustrious career.
