Mutapa backs Power Dynamos to claim away result against Rivers united

Power Dynamos head coach Oswald Mutapa has voiced strong belief in his team’s ability to secure a positive outcome away to Rivers United ahead of Matchday Four of the CAF Champions League, Sport360NG reports.

The Zambian champions will travel to Nigeria to face Rivers United at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo in a crucial group-stage fixture, with Mutapa maintaining that his players will adopt a winning mindset despite the challenges of playing on the road.

Mutapa stressed that Power Dynamos are approaching the encounter with a clear objective of collecting maximum points, underlining the importance of the match to their campaign.

“We always approach our games with the intention to win, and the fixture against Rivers United in Nigeria is no different. It is a very important match for us,” the coach said.

He also revealed that the team remains focused on controlling its own destiny in the competition rather than being distracted by the position of other teams in the group.

“Pyramids FC and RS Berkane are currently on seven points, but our focus is on winning our own matches, starting with this game against Rivers United,” Mutapa added.
