Beşiktaş target Arokodare as Wolves striker eyes summer exit
Turkish giants Beşiktaş JK are weighing up a move for Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, Sport360NG reports.
The 25-year-old striker, currently contracted to Wolverhampton Wanderers until 2029, has emerged as a key target for the Istanbul-based side, with Turkish outlet SporX reporting that he is being closely tracked as part of their summer recruitment plans.
Arokodare joined Wolves in a deal worth €26m from KRC Genk but could be on the move amid the club’s struggles in the Premier League. The English side currently sit at the bottom of the table, fuelling uncertainty over the futures of several players.
Reports indicate the striker is open to a transfer, particularly as he seeks a club competing in European competitions and challenging at the top level domestically.
Beşiktaş are believed to be considering a tactical setup that would pair Arokodare with South Korean forward Oh Hyeon-gyu, as they aim to strengthen their attacking line.
The club’s interest is also influenced by the recent success of Nigerian forwards in Turkey’s top flight, including Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen, who have both made significant impacts in the Super Lig.
With interest in Arokodare growing, Beşiktaş are positioning themselves among the leading contenders for his signature as the summer transfer window approaches.
