Liverpool have identified Real Madrid winger Rodrygo as a potential replacement for Luis Diaz, should the Colombian leave Anfield this summer. The 24-year-old Brazilian is one of several names being considered by the Reds as interest in Diaz continues to mount.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is reportedly demanding a weekly wage of £300,000 to sign a new contract at St James’ Park. The 25-year-old Swede, who enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season, has emerged as a key figure for Eddie Howe’s side.

In the Championship, Sunderland are working on a sensational move for Granit Xhaka. The Switzerland international is said to have agreed personal terms with the Black Cats, and discussions with Bayer Leverkusen over a transfer fee are underway. However, Leverkusen boss Erik ten Hag has insisted the 32-year-old midfielder remains a vital part of his squad.

Elsewhere, Brentford have turned down a £30m bid from Newcastle for forward Yoane Wissa. The DR Congo international, 28, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs following his consistent performances.

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is reportedly attracting attention from Serie A, with both Atalanta and Lazio monitoring the 22-year-old Dane’s situation.

Tensions are said to be running high between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur over the latter’s pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White. Forest are unhappy with how Spurs handled their approach for the 25-year-old midfielder and may now prefer to negotiate with other interested parties.

Chelsea have opened discussions with Atletico Madrid regarding a possible move for defender Renato Veiga. The Blues are believed to be seeking around £35m for the 21-year-old Portuguese centre-back.

Everton are showing interest in Bayern Munich youngster Adam Aznou. The 19-year-old Moroccan left-back is seen as a long-term prospect by the Toffees.

Wolves are reportedly close to finalising deals for two reinforcements – Jhon Arias from Fluminense and Marc Pubill from Almeria. Arias, 25, is a Colombian winger, while Pubill, 22, operates as a right-back.

Manchester United are also keeping tabs on promising Angers left-back Dan Sinate. The Mali Under-20 international is unlikely to be approached until the January transfer window.

Finally, Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has confirmed that 21-year-old Spanish forward Mateo Joseph has asked to leave the club as he seeks a new challenge.
