Nottingham Forest complete signing of Swiss winger Dan Ndoye from Bologna

Nottingham Forest have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Switzerland international Dan Ndoye from Bologna.

The 24-year-old winger has agreed a five-year contract at the City Ground, ending his two-year spell in Serie A. Ndoye was a key figure for Bologna last season, registering nine goals in 41 appearances across all competitions.

He played a pivotal role in Bologna’s historic Coppa Italia triumph in May, scoring the decisive goal in the final against AC Milan, the club’s first major silverware in over half a century.

Speaking after completing the move, Ndoye said: “It’s an exciting time to join Forest. As soon as I heard about the interest, I knew I wanted to be part of this project. It’s a club with great ambition and a rich history, and I’m eager to get started.”

Ndoye made his debut for Switzerland in 2022 and has since earned 22 international caps, scoring three goals.

He becomes Forest’s third high-profile arrival of the summer, following the signings of Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha from Brazilian side Botafogo.

The club have also been active in contract negotiations, securing a new deal for Morgan Gibbs-White after rejecting advances from Tottenham Hotspur, despite the London club triggering a £60m release clause in the midfielder’s previous agreement. Meanwhile, Anthony Elanga has departed to join Newcastle United.
