Ethan Nwaneri Commits Future to Arsenal with Long-Term Deal
Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri has pledged his future to the club by signing a new five-year contract, keeping him at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2030, Sport360NG reports.
The 18-year-old’s previous deal was due to run until June 2026, but the Gunners have moved swiftly to secure one of their brightest prospects on extended terms.
“It means everything to me. I’m so happy to get it done,” Nwaneri said after penning the new agreement. “This is home for me, the place where I can develop the most. I’m excited for my first real season as part of the squad and can’t wait to see how I can contribute. Over the last few years, I’ve become more direct and added more goals to my game, I’m looking forward to what’s next.”
Nwaneri made history in September 2022 when, at just 15 years and 181 days old, he became the youngest player to feature in a Premier League match, coming on against Brentford.
Last season marked a major breakthrough for the attacking midfielder, who registered nine goals in 37 appearances across all competitions. His impressive form carried into the summer, when he played a key role in England Under-21s’ successful defence of their European Championship crown in Slovakia.
