Four national boxing titles will be decided in Lagos on December 26 and 28, the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control has announced, setting the stage for a packed festive fight schedule, Sport360NG reports.

The first set of title bouts will take place on December 26 at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, during the GOtv-backed Flykite Promotions show. National Super Bantamweight champion Durotimi “Tiny” Agboola is set to defend his belt against Sodiq “Happy Boy” Adeleke, while Imole “System” Oloyede faces Saddam Oladipupo for the vacant National Lightweight crown.

Two more titles will be contested on December 28 at Campos Mini Stadium, courtesy of De-Lads Promotion. Hassan “Tiago” Tiamiyu, popularly called “Soldier Boy,” will put his National Super Welterweight title on the line against Saheed Abdullahi, and in the women’s Bantamweight division, Simisola Popola will square off with Omowunmi Oyesiji for national honours.

NBBofC President Dr. Rafiu Ladipo welcomed the year-end fixtures, describing them as a fitting close to a strong year for Nigerian boxing. “These title fights represent the perfect end to what has been an exciting year. We are pleased to sanction these contests and look forward to seeing our boxers perform,” he said.

Secretary General Remi Aboderin added that staging four national title fights within three days underscores the sport’s growing depth in the country. “We expect highly competitive bouts across all categories,” he noted.

The December 26 event will also host a bantamweight showdown between Toheeb “Full Tank” Hassan and Ezekiel “Touch” Seun as part of GOtv Boxing Night 34, which blends boxing with musical and comedy performances.

Hassan issued a bold declaration ahead of the fight, saying he is “coming with a full tank of fury,” while Seun responded that respect will not determine the outcome, stressing that strategy and precision will guide his approach in the ring.
