Fulham sink Spurs to deepen crisis as winless run stretches to 10
Relegation-threatened Tottenham Hotspur endured another damaging setback as their bleak 2026 campaign continued with a 2-1 defeat to Fulham, extending their winless Premier League streak to 10 matches, Sport360NG reports.
Fulham, chasing a European place, struck early at Craven Cottage, just as they did in November’s 2-1 victory in north London, with Harry Wilson firing the hosts ahead in the seventh minute for his ninth goal of the season.
The opener sparked fury from new Spurs head coach Igor Tudor, who argued the move should have been halted for a push by Raul Jimenez on Radu Dragusin during the build-up to Kenny Tete’s cross. After Oscar Bobb retrieved possession and teed up Wilson for a close-range finish, a VAR review led by Craig Pawson upheld the goal despite Tottenham’s protests.
Spurs’ frustration deepened in the 34th minute when Alex Iwobi doubled Fulham’s advantage. Left unmarked on the edge of the area following a crisp exchange with Wilson, Iwobi drilled a low effort in off the post to leave the visitors reeling.
Fulham could have been out of sight before the break. Calvin Bassey blazed over from close range, while Jimenez and Emile Smith Rowe also squandered promising openings.
Tottenham offered a response midway through the second half as substitute Richarlison headed in Archie Gray’s cross in the 66th minute, but it proved no more than consolation.
The defeat marked a second straight loss since Tudor replaced the dismissed Thomas Frank, with Spurs conceding six goals across those two fixtures. The north London side have not endured a 10-game winless league run since 1994 under Ossie Ardiles.
Now 16th in the table and just four points clear of the relegation zone with 10 matches remaining, Tottenham face an increasingly urgent battle to preserve their long-standing top-flight status.
