AC Milan Keen on signing Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund

Just over a week ago, the Danish forward made it clear to reporters, after scoring in a 4-1 friendly win over Bournemouth in Chicago, that he intends to stay at Old Trafford despite growing competition for places in Ruben Amorim’s squad, Sport360NG reports.

Since then, however, Manchester United have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign Slovenian international Benjamin Sesko, who is expected to be introduced to fans ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Serie A side Fiorentina at Old Trafford.

Several clubs are reportedly keen on Hojlund, 23, knowing that United are open to negotiations regarding his future.

Milan are said to be interested, but are only considering a loan deal initially, as both clubs face financial constraints due to missing out on European competition this season.

According to sources, the Italian club is prepared to offer a loan fee of around €4 million (£3.47 million), with an option to make the move permanent next summer for approximately €40 million (£34.7 million).

Whether this proposal will satisfy Manchester United remains uncertain, but more information is expected to emerge in the coming week.

AC Milan will kick off their Serie A season against Cremonese on August 23.
