Super Falcons midfielder Chioma Olise says her focus is firmly on winning the Turkish Women’s League next season after extending her stay with Trabzonspor, Sport360NG reports.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that the Nigerian international had signed a fresh one-year deal following an impressive debut campaign.

Olise joined the Turkish side earlier this year from Nigeria Women’s Football League champions Edo Queens on a one-and-a-half-year contract, but her consistent performances have earned her a new agreement ahead of schedule.

“For me, the decision was easy,” said Olise “Trabzonspor believed in me from day one, and I feel at home here, on and off the pitch. The fans, my teammates, and the whole environment push me to improve daily.

“The goal this season is to win the league. I’ll give 100 per cent every time I wear the jersey, and I also want to improve my numbers, more goals, more assists, and more impact in games.”

Last season, the 23-year-old came off the bench to score in Trabzonspor’s emphatic 4-0 win over ALG Spor.

Olise began her professional career with Royal Queens before making her mark at Edo Queens, where she won the 2023/24 NWFL Premiership title. She also lifted the WAFU-B Women’s Champions League trophy in Ivory Coast and captained the club to fourth place at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

Her performances at club level earned her a Super Falcons call-up in October 2024, featuring in friendlies against Algeria. She previously represented Nigeria at the 2022 and 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups.
