Raphael Onyedika Set for Galatasaray Move as Clubs Enter Transfer Talks
Galatasaray have opened talks with Club Brugge over the transfer of Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika, with the 24-year-old reportedly agreeing personal terms with the Turkish champions, Sport360NG reports.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray shifted their focus to Onyedika after negotiations for Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma fell through. The Turkish side has proposed a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option, offering a €5 million loan fee and a €15 million clause for next season.
Club Brugge, however, are understood to be seeking €25 million for the midfielder, who joined the Belgian club in 2022 and is reportedly eager to take the next step in his career. Sources indicate that Onyedika is keen on joining the yellow-reds, with developments expected soon in the ongoing transfer window.
The Nigerian international has also attracted attention from West Ham United, who see him as a potential successor to Edson Álvarez. Onyedika’s possible exit comes at a time when Brugge are under pressure to retain key players, as defender Joel Ordoñez is pursuing a move to Marseille, and forward Christos Tzolis recently had a €32 million offer from Crystal Palace turned down.
