Oliseh Urges Osimhen to Join Premier League or Risk Regret

Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has advised Victor Osimhen to secure a move to the English Premier League as soon as possible, warning that missing the opportunity could lead to long-term regret.

Oliseh, a 1996 Olympic gold medallist, shared his thoughts on Wednesday via his X (formerly Twitter) account, amid growing uncertainty surrounding the Napoli striker’s next move.

“Victor Osimhen is at a very delicate crossroad,” Oliseh wrote. “He needs to find his way to the Premier League in a hurry or he risks so much regret! Man. United and Arsenal need this player if only…..”

Despite Osimhen’s strong goal-scoring record and a reduced release clause of €75 million, Premier League interest appears to be cooling. Manchester United, previously seen as a strong contender, have reportedly shifted focus to Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. Arsenal, too, are said to be prioritizing other targets.

In a surprising development, Turkish champions Galatasaray have stepped into the spotlight. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the club has submitted a formal offer and reached a personal agreement with Osimhen. However, Napoli are reportedly insisting on the full €75m being paid in a single installment.

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal also remain in the picture and are reportedly willing to meet Napoli’s financial demands. Still, sources indicate that Osimhen prefers to continue his career in Europe.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano noted on his YouTube channel that Manchester United were always unlikely to sign Osimhen due to his high wage expectations and contentment with life in Istanbul, where he had previously spent time on loan.
