Szoboszlai’s Stunning Free-Kick Sinks Arsenal at Anfield
Dominik Szoboszlai produced a moment of brilliance to hand Liverpool victory over Arsenal, sealing a dramatic 1-0 win at Anfield, Sport360NG reports.
With the game drifting towards a goalless draw, the Hungarian midfielder curled a superb free-kick beyond David Raya in the 83rd minute, sparking wild celebrations among the home support.
Arsenal’s evening had started badly when defender William Saliba limped off injured after just five minutes, replaced by summer recruit Cristhian Mosquera. New £60m signing Eberechi Eze was introduced only after the break, but the Gunners struggled to create meaningful chances throughout.

Liverpool thought they had taken the lead earlier when Hugo Ekitike bundled the ball home, only for the effort to be chalked off for offside. Clear opportunities were rare in a cagey contest, with both sides showing caution, but Liverpool gradually increased the pressure after half-time before Szoboszlai delivered the decisive strike.
Liverpool: Champions Show Their Resolve
Jürgen Klopp’s side enter the international break with a perfect record from their opening three matches, despite not yet hitting the free-flowing heights of last season’s title triumph.

Once again, they relied on late drama. After scoring twice in the closing stages against Bournemouth and grabbing an injury-time winner at Newcastle, Liverpool repeated the trick with Szoboszlai’s superb set-piece against Arsenal.
The result keeps Liverpool at the top of the table and underlines their knack of grinding out wins when it matters. Attention now turns to the transfer deadline, with Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi among their defensive targets and ongoing links to Newcastle forward Alexander Isak.
Arsenal: Familiar Anfield Frustration
For Arsenal, this fixture had been earmarked as an early test of their title credentials. Instead, it ended in more disappointment at a stadium that has become a difficult hunting ground.

The Gunners are now winless in 13 league visits to Anfield, their last victory coming back in September 2012. While Mikel Arteta’s men were organised defensively and kept Liverpool quiet for long spells, they offered little threat in attack.
Noni Madueke’s first-half effort, saved by Alisson, was their best chance, while striker Viktor Gyokeres struggled to make an impact against Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. Eze’s late cameo provided glimpses of quality, but ultimately Arsenal left empty-handed once more.
