Anfield in crisis: Liverpool’s worst run in 71 Years

“This run is a shock for everyone, for the players, for me,” Slot admitted. “It’s very unexpected. We can all do better individually, but that goes for everyone including myself.”

Dominik Szoboszlai offered a rare positive note, contributing a goal and energy from his central midfield role. Former captain Steven Gerrard warned that without stability and answers from Slot, Liverpool’s struggles could persist.

Looking Ahead

Liverpool’s Champions League hopes are now precarious, sitting just outside the top eight, with challenging fixtures against Inter Milan and Marseille looming. In the Premier League, the Reds face a trip to West Ham this weekend.

“Every player needs to go back to basics,” Warnock said. “Morale needs lifting, but it is very difficult. There are no easy games for them right now.”
