Saka commits future to Arsenal with new long-term contract
Bukayo Saka has agreed a new long-term contract with Arsenal, securing the future of one of the club’s most influential players as they push to keep their title-challenging core intact, Sport360NG reports.
Sources indicate the deal will elevate the 24-year-old into the bracket of Arsenal’s highest earners, underlining his importance both on and off the pitch. The agreement continues a clear strategy by the north London club to reward and retain key figures, following recent long-term extensions for William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
A product of Arsenal’s Hale End academy, Saka has been a central figure since making his senior debut in 2018. Despite a three-month absence last season after undergoing hamstring surgery in December 2024, the England international still delivered 12 goals and 13 assists in 37 appearances.
His influence has continued to grow. During the 2023-24 campaign, Saka captained the side for the first time and finished as Arsenal’s leading scorer with 20 goals. This season, he has maintained that consistency, contributing seven goals and six assists in 27 outings across competitions.

Arsenal are well placed to end their wait for silverware, sitting six points clear at the summit of the Premier League and boasting a perfect record from their six matches in the UEFA Champions League so far.
Analysis: Why Saka’s Deal Matters More Than Any Signing
Securing Saka’s future may prove more significant than the club’s reported £250m investment on eight new players last summer. His on-field output, connection with supporters and journey from the academy make him a uniquely irreplaceable asset.
The new contract keeps Saka at Arsenal through the peak years of his career, offering the club the chance to reap further rewards from a player whose numbers already compare with the elite wide attackers in the game. This season could be pivotal as he targets a first major trophy with the club since the FA Cup triumph in 2020.
Manager Mikel Arteta continues to build much of Arsenal’s attacking play down the right flank, reflecting the trust placed in Saka’s consistency and decision-making.
Beyond club football, the winger is also preparing for a significant international summer. With England national football team set to be led by Thomas Tuchel at the World Cup, hopes will be high that a successful season in red and white can translate onto the global stage.
