CAF to hold champions league and confederation cup quarter-final draw in february
The Confederation of African Football is expected to stage the quarter-final draw for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup later this month, Sport360NG reports.
Sources indicate that the draw, which will also map out the route to the finals in both competitions, is scheduled to take place on either 19 or 20 February as CAF works to manage an increasingly congested fixture calendar.
The continental body is pushing to complete all club competitions before June, a move designed to create adequate space for national teams to turn their attention to forthcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers and other international commitments.
The draw will confirm the quarter-final fixtures, potential semi-final pairings and the overall pathway to the finals, marking the start of the decisive phase of Africa’s premier club tournaments.
CAF is expected to announce further details regarding the venue and format of the draw in the coming days.
