Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has been suspended for three months by Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars amid allegations of match-fixing, Sport360NG reports.

The development was first reported by Tanzanian journalist Samir Sylva, who disclosed that the club imposed sanctions on two players following an internal investigation into alleged misconduct.

Obasogie, a Nigerian international goalkeeper who has been in the frame for national team assignments with the Super Eagles, was handed a three-month suspension over claims relating to match manipulation.

In a related move, Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho was also suspended for the same duration. His sanction is reportedly connected to disciplinary breaches, including absenteeism and dereliction of duty.

Singida Black Stars have yet to release a comprehensive public statement detailing the specific allegations against Obasogie. However, sources close to the club suggest the measures are part of broader efforts to enforce discipline and safeguard the integrity of the team.

The suspension casts uncertainty over Obasogie’s immediate future, particularly regarding his prospects with the Nigerian national team, as further investigations into the matter are expected to continue.
