Liverpool Reject Bayern Munich’s €67.5m Bid for Luis Diaz
Liverpool have turned down a €67.5 million (£58.6m) bid from Bayern Munich for winger Luis Diaz, according to a report by David Ornstein.
The 28-year-old Colombian has become a key target for the Bundesliga side, who made their first official approach on Tuesday. However, Liverpool quickly rejected the offer.
The Merseyside club reportedly value Diaz at over €100 million, though this figure is believed to be more for financial reporting than an indication they are open to negotiations.
Despite Diaz having just two years left on his contract and having informed the club of his desire to move on, Liverpool remain adamant he is not for sale. Ornstein reports that the club’s position remains unchanged, and they have communicated this stance to Bayern, as well as other interested clubs like Barcelona.
Diaz joined Liverpool from FC Porto in January 2022 for a fee rising to £50 million, including add-ons. Since his arrival, he has made 148 appearances, scoring 41 goals and assisting 23 more.
Last season, under new manager Arne Slot, Diaz was instrumental in Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning campaign, contributing 13 goals in 36 league appearances.
