Everton Secure Goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth in £4m Deal
Everton have bolstered their goalkeeping options with the signing of Republic of Ireland international Mark Travers from Bournemouth in a deal reportedly worth £4 million ($5.3 million).
The 26-year-old has penned a four-year contract at Goodison Park, becoming part of the squad as the Merseyside club prepares to move into their new stadium at the start of the upcoming season.
Travers expressed his delight after completing the move: “It’s a proud moment for me. From the moment I arrived, I could sense the stature of this club and its rich history. You can feel the passion from the fans, and with the new stadium and the club’s ambition, it’s an exciting time to be here. I’m eager to get started.”
During his nine-year spell with Bournemouth, Travers made 82 appearances. At Everton, he is expected to provide strong competition for England’s No. 1, Jordan Pickford, under manager David Moyes.
