Jamaican Winger Leon Bailey Joins Roma on Season-Long Loan
AS Roma have secured the signing of Jamaican winger Leon Bailey on a season-long loan from Aston Villa, the Italian club confirmed on Wednesday, Sport360NG reports.
The agreement includes an option for Roma to make the transfer permanent at the end of the campaign, with the fee reported to be around €22 million (£19m, $25.6m).
Bailey, 28, makes the switch to Serie A after spending four years at Villa Park, where he netted 22 goals across 144 appearances in all competitions.
Under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini, Roma are targeting a return to the Champions League for the first time since 2018. Their domestic campaign kicks off on Saturday when they face Bologna in the opening round of the 2025/26 Serie A season.
