NFF unveils ‘Naija 4 The Win’ campaign as super eagles target AFCON glory in Morocco
The Nigeria Football Federation has launched the Naija 4 The Win campaign to rally nationwide support for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, as the team sets its sights on reclaiming the continental crown, Sport360NG reports.
Three-time champions of Africa, Nigeria will compete at the tournament scheduled for December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, determined to add to their titles won in 1980, 1994 and 2013.
In a statement on Sunday, the NFF described Nigeria’s runners-up finish at the 2023 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire as a source of motivation rather than regret, noting that the narrow miss has strengthened the team’s resolve.
“Those memories are not setbacks but fuel for a more decisive and focused challenge,” the federation said.
The NFF added that the Super Eagles, under head coach Eric Sékou Chelle, are laying a solid foundation built on discipline, experience, emerging talent and collective ambition, with the full backing of the National Sports Commission and the federation.
According to the federation, the Naija 4 The Win initiative is designed to unite Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, while rekindling belief that the country can once again scale the heights of African football.
“The victories of 1980, 1994 and 2013 each carry their own legacy. Morocco 2025 offers another chance to write a fresh chapter in that proud history,” the statement read.
The NFF also urged fans to give the team unwavering support throughout the competition, whether from homes, viewing centres or in the stadiums in Morocco, stressing that the energy and presence of Nigerians remain vital to the Super Eagles’ ambitions.
Chelle’s squad is currently in camp in Cairo, Egypt, where they will face the Pharaohs in an unofficial pre-tournament friendly on Tuesday before travelling to Morocco on Thursday.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group C alongside Tunisia, Tanzania and Uganda. The Super Eagles will begin their campaign against Tanzania on December 23, followed by clashes with Tunisia on December 27 and Uganda on December 30.
