AC Milan Hit Nine Past Perth Glory in Preseason Rout
AC Milan showed no mercy in their latest preseason outing, overwhelming Australia’s Perth Glory with a dominant 9–0 victory in a friendly on Thursday, Sport360NG reports.
The Serie A side wasted no time asserting control, with Filippo Terracciano finding the net just three minutes into the match. A quickfire brace from Noah Okafor followed, as the Swiss forward struck in the 24th and 27th minutes to extend Milan’s early lead.
Giovanni Comotto made it four on the half-hour mark, and Samuel Chukwueze added a fifth just two minutes later as the Rossoneri stormed into the break firmly in command.
Milan maintained their intensity after the restart. Rafael Leão, who later posed for cameras flashing four fingers in celebration, scored shortly after the interval and added his second late on in the 86th minute. Simone Ricci and Yunus Musah also got in on the act, scoring in the 59th and 80th minutes, respectively.
The commanding performance underlined Milan’s attacking depth, with eight different players finding the scoresheet in a match that served as a clear signal of their readiness ahead of the new campaign.
For Perth Glory, it was a humbling experience. The A-League outfit struggled to contain Milan’s fluid movement and sharp finishing, offering little resistance throughout a thoroughly one-sided contest.
